バスタブ曲線
ばすたぶきょくせん · Bathtub curve
A curve describing how the failure rate of equipment changes over its lifecycle, named for its resemblance to the cross-section of a bathtub. It comprises three phases: the early failure period (high and declining failure rate), the random failure period (roughly constant failure rate), and the wear-out period (rising failure rate). It is a fundamental concept in reliability engineering for predicting equipment lifespan and planning maintenance.
