Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) uses computers to control machine tools, improving the precision and efficiency of manufacturing processes. It generates machining data from design information and outputs it to numerical-control (NC) machines and similar equipment to automate and optimise production. CAM is commonly used in conjunction with CAD (Computer-Aided Design).
