ちゃれんじゃ · Challenger (competitive position)
In Kotler's competitive-position framework, the challenger is a company ranked second or lower but still near the top of the market. Its strategy involves attacking regions or segments where the leader has not yet strengthened its position, sometimes engaging the leader head-on, and at other times taking share from lower-ranked followers.
