A statistical measure that expresses the strength and direction of the linear relationship between two variables on a scale from -1 to +1. Values near +1 indicate a strong positive correlation (as one variable increases, so does the other), values near -1 indicate a strong negative correlation, and values near 0 indicate little or no linear relationship. It is widely used in survey analysis and data analysis to inform improvement priorities.
