ハウジング
はうじんぐ · Housing (colocation)
Also known as: ハウジングサービス
A service in which a company places its own servers and computer equipment in a data center operated by an external provider, renting only the infrastructure such as power, cooling, and network connectivity. Ownership of the equipment remains with the company, distinguishing it from software-based services like ASP or SaaS. It is often used to house backup systems at a geographically separate site to mitigate risks such as natural disasters.
