J-CRAT is a team operated by IPA (Information-technology Promotion Agency) under Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, providing consultation and support to organizations that have been targeted by or are at risk of targeted cyberattacks. Its mission is to help reduce damage and interrupt the spread of attack chains; it advises and assists the affected organization rather than taking direct command of the response.
