Lean startup is a methodology for new business or product development in which a minimum viable product (MVP) based on a hypothesis is quickly brought to market, and the hypothesis is then validated and refined through rapid cycles of customer feedback. Coined by Eric Ries, it reduces risk before committing to large-scale development investment and is closely aligned with agile development principles.
