Segment marketing is a marketing strategy that divides the overall customer base into groups (segments) based on attributes such as age, gender, family structure, or lifestyle, analyzes the characteristics and purchasing behavior of each group, and then focuses marketing efforts on the most promising target segments. Unlike mass marketing, which applies a uniform approach to all consumers, segment marketing enables more tailored and effective strategies for each customer group.
