Formally known as the Act against Delay in Payment of Subcontract Proceeds, this law protects subcontractors from unfair payment delays or disadvantageous practices by primary contractors. The primary contractor is obligated to pay the subcontract fee within 60 days of receiving the goods or services, regardless of whether an inspection has been completed. It applies to IT system development outsourcing as well.
