A URL (Uniform Resource Locator) is a notation for identifying the location of resources on the internet, such as web pages and files. It combines a protocol, host name, and path into a structured format, for example http://www.ipa.go.jp/. Browsers interpret a URL to connect to the appropriate server and retrieve the desired content.
