Cross-selling is a sales technique in which a customer who is buying or has already bought one product is offered related or complementary products. For example, recommending ski wear to a customer purchasing ski equipment is a classic example. It increases the average transaction value and is often used alongside CRM systems to identify and act on related purchase opportunities.
