Information security is fundamentally concerned with maintaining three properties of information: Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (the CIA triad). Additional properties such as authenticity, accountability, non-repudiation, and reliability may also be included. The Information Security Management System (ISMS) provides an organizational and continuous framework for managing these properties, standardized as JIS Q 27001 (ISO/IEC 27001).
