OJT (On-the-Job Training) is a training method in which employees acquire the skills and knowledge needed for their role through actual workplace tasks. A supervisor or senior colleague acts as a mentor, and learning happens in the course of day-to-day work. It is contrasted with Off-JT (off-the-job training) such as external seminars or correspondence courses, and is well suited for developing practical, job-specific skills.
